b. 1966, Scotland, UK white peak | dark peak Alec Finlay and a team of fellow poets - including Linda France, Geraldine Monk and Alan Halsey - produced a poetic mapping of the Peak District National Park using an innovative combination of walking, letterboxing, renga ‘word-map' and field-recording (in collaboration with Bevis Bowden). Commissioned by re :place, white peak | dark peak is an audio | visual word-map of the Park, and potentially the largest public art work in the UK.
